1.  What sparked your passion for technology and software development?

My passion for software development was sparked by my love for creating LEGO contraptions. Switching to software allowed me to scale with nearly infinite building blocks. What started as a hobby turned into my profession, providing me with endless opportunities to create value.

2. What's the biggest technical challenge you've faced in building the wantex platform, and how did you overcome it?

The key challenge in building the wantex is keeping up with the continuous influx of  ideas on how the product would be even cooler. It is a continuous challenge but we manage with dedicated effort and adaptability in design.

testimonial-quote

AI is a revolutionary technology similar to the internet. It enables us to build previously impossible features based on unstructured data. As a user, the result is the extreme intuitiveness of some workflows: e.g. import a PDF quote that a supplier sent via email.

3. How does AI actually work within wantex? Can you give a specific example?

We use AI to bridge the gap between emails and excel and sourcing tool. This enables users to harness the power of a sophisticated sourcing tool without being forced to change their work process.

4. What's one cool feature of wantex that you're particularly proud of from a development standpoint?

I'm proud about how close we can match the flexibility of the industry standard email and excel workflows as a sourcing tool.

5. What's your vision for the future of AI in procurement and supply chain management?

Using an AI is just a different way to solve a problem. It is unlocking companies to provide software solutions for areas that were not feasible before. Ultimately we build software so people can focus on more meaningful tasks. That could mean less time spent moving data around manually and more time spent talking to suppliers or making strategic decisions.
